The Season Premiere Air Show at the Shuttleworth Collection is the traditional kickoff to their summer aviation calendar. For 2026, the event took place on Sunday, May 10th.
Nothing quite compares to the buzz of the first show of the season at Old Warden, a relatively small, intimate venue where the flying feels much closer to the crowd than at larger airfields. For 2026, Shuttleworth dropped its previous "Best of British" theme in favor of an unfettered format, allowing for a highly varied and exciting aircraft lineup.
The flying display featured a mix of Shuttleworth’s own legendary resident aircraft alongside some exciting visiting performers:
Visiting Highlights: The lineup featured the energetic XtremeAir XA41 making its Shuttleworth debut, the iconic Havard, the Lockheed 12A Electra Junior, and an appearance by the Royal Air Force's Falcons Parachute Display team.
Collection Residents: Shuttleworth’s own hangars provided a rich array of early aviation and wartime history. Expected flyers included the Avro 504K, the Gloster Gladiator, and the vibrant red de Havilland DH.88 Comet.
